At Tuya, Girl, my mission in creating this was simple: make your haircare as intentional and resilient as you are. That starts with understanding what your hair really needs—and what oils can actually do. Let’s break it down.

First, Not All Hair Oils Are Created Equal

Hair oils generally fall into two categories:

-Moisturizing oils that penetrate the hair shaft to nourish from within, and

-Sealing oils that help lock in moisture, smooth strands, and protect against damage.

Our blend is packed with oils that do both, inspired by mountain wildflowers and desert botanicals, nutrient-dense seeds, and time-tested plant remedies.

Our Powerhouse Formula—What’s Inside and Why It Matters

Let’s take a peek at your new favorite ritual:

✨ Jojoba Seed Oil – A scalp-balancing oil most similar to your body’s natural sebum. Hydrates without clogging.

✨ Castor Oil – The OG of hair growth, rich in ricinoleic acid to support strong roots and glossy strands.

✨ Abyssinian Oil – Lightweight and ultra-smoothing, this oil adds shine without heaviness.

✨ Sweet Almond Oil – Full of fatty acids, this one deeply conditions and helps protect against breakage.

✨ Andiroba Oil – A powerful Amazonian oil known to soothe the scalp and combat inflammation.

✨ Prickly Pear Oil – A desert survivor. Loaded with antioxidants and Vitamin E, it strengthens and revives.

✨ Kalahari Melon Seed Oil – Rich in linoleic acid, this oil is ideal for balancing oily scalps and lightweight hydration. Helps keep more life to your color!

✨ Baobab Oil – Known as the “Tree of Life,” this oil is rich in omegas and deeply restorative.

✨ Carrot Seed Oil – High in beta-carotene and Vitamin A, it supports scalp health and rejuvenation.

✨ Cacay Oil – Nature’s retinol. High in Vitamin  E, it repairs and restores elasticity.

✨ Lupine Seed Oil – Supports hair density and strengthens follicles.

✨ Broccoli Seed Oil – A natural silicone alternative that helps seal split ends and adds weightless shine.

✨ Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopheryl acetate) – Boosts the shelf life and benefits of every other oil in the bottle.

✨ Bergamot, Rosemary & Juniper Berry Oils – Essential oils that invigorate the scalp, refresh the senses, and have antimicrobial benefits. (I wanted to keep it fragrance free so this more natural scent is better for our endocrine system)

✨Australian Sandalwood Oil – Grounding, anti-inflammatory, and subtly aromatic.

How to Use Tuya, Girl’s Hair Oil

Depending on your vibe, goals, and hair type, there are a few ways to make this ritual your own:

As a Pre-Shampoo Pre-Adventure Treatment:

Saturate scalp to ends. Braid or top knot. Let it soak in while you sip coffee, hike, ski, run surf or lounge. Wash out after 30 mins to overnight for a deep, nourishing treat.

As a Styling Oil:

Use a few drops on dry or damp ends to smooth frizz, seal in moisture, and add shine. A little goes a long way depending on your hair type.

For Scalp Support + Growth:

Massage a few drops directly into the scalp. Our blend—especially rosemary, juniper, and castor—is formulated to support circulation and stimulate hair growth.

How Often Should You Use It?

-Curly, coarse, or dry hair? Use 1x a week or more.

-Fine or oily hair? Use 2x a month

-In dry climates or post-sun exposure? Use as needed to restore softness and moisture.

A Final Note from the Founder

I created this formula after too many adventures left my hair feeling dull, dry, and defeated. Every oil in this bottle has a purpose—and a story rooted in the natural world. It’s made to nourish, protect, and bring your hair back to life, no matter how wild the journey.

Ready for your next adventure? Bring your best hair with you.
